Stress

The book I'm reading now, entitled For Better: The Science of a Good Marriage, by Tara Parker-Pope, cites a study stating that marriage stress can have a profound effect on a person's physical health, while job stress does not.

Obviously, the researchers have never held real jobs.

  1. Hmm… there may be a little truth in that. After all, a fair amount of work-related stress can be alleviated by fantasizing about changing jobs and telling the current boss which bodily orifice to shove his/her tedious paperwork up?

Can’t really use that technique on marital stress...
